Ahh, but you're missing the big picture here. Soon companies like Cox will only allow you to download from their "trusted" sources, like this service. All other surfing will be considered an extra benefit that you must, well, pay extra for (sort of like roaming on the old cellular service plans)...
Of course, it doesn't hurt that Cox and others will likely get a 10%-30% premium from your participation in these "trusted" networks... Coming soon to a home near you: filtered broadband, almost as commercialized and choice-free as AOL...  -- Cox cable: the hallmark questionable business practices and lousy cable service! |
