yes, but if STEAM works out for HL/CS, then Valve will be sure to use it for HL2, CS2, TFC2, ... and then all the "1337" gamers that have skillz will get kick/banned. I would hope that Valve would simply use a PunkBuster model instead. In the end, if someone really wants to cheat, they will find a way. -- If ya gotta go, Go with a SMILE!
