NSdsl join:2002-12-18 Danvers, MA | Modem Wait Time? How long did it take for the modem to arrive from Worldcom?
After waiting for 2 long weeks for Speakeasy and Verizon to free up my phone line I have finally decided to install a second line.
Cyberonic says my line should be live on the 24th. They still don't have a ship date from Worldcom regarding the Modem, but they claim it should be shipped today. |

I should have installed the second line weeks ago. Instead I had to listen to Speakeasy blame Verizon and then Verizon blamed Speakeasy. I'm sure my other line is still not released.
Cyberonic seems to be doing alright I got the second line installed last Friday and called them back to switch my DSL number. If they can get me up in a week that would be awesome. Hopefully Worldcom actually ships the Modem.
Did they Email you a tracking number? Did you have to be home to sign for it? |

My line was ready last Friday -- the same day UPS tried to deliver the modem (Efficient Networks) so I had to sit out the weekend. I tried using cyberonic's dialup, but never did get it to work. |

 | HA! I ordered myservice on the 7th or 8th of January. I haven't received my modem yet.. My line became active about a week ago on the 15th or 16th. I should be pissed as hell, and nagging and calling and complaining.. but, at this opint, I dont really care cuz I was able to tweak my 5660 Speedstream into working with the Worldcom systems. So, I dont have to hassle them to change my modem into bridge, or anything.
Id be surprised if I ever see my modem. which brings a question to mind.. If I have no modem, I would not have any viable means of accessing the service.. So would I still be charged for the DSL, since technically, I wouldnt be able to connect? |

I have a 3COM Home Connect modem, any way to get that to work with Cyberonic? I've used this Modem before with other ISPs reselling Worldcom dsl; DSLi, Speakeasy etc.. |

 | Nearly the same for me brh99. I think they ran out. They will be shipping new routers to us. Will be 3com routers. -- Do you think that's air you're breathing? |
|
 | reply to NSdsl NSdsl, 3com homeconnect modem works with WC equipment. I'm using it now with cyberonic until my router arrives. IM me and I can give you vci/vpi settings that work for me. -- Do you think that's air you're breathing? |

| reply to NSdsl When I expect a parcel from UPS, I leave a release taped to the door (folded over and, addressed "UPS"). Include your name, address, date, parcel vendor, statement requesting UPS to leave the parcel at your front door and releasing them, explicitly, from liability for following your instructions; and signed). |

When mine showed up, I had no advance notice it had been shipped. Good thing somebody was home to accept it |

No Modem yet. I hate the fact you can't use your own equipment, (unless Gigantopithicus can hook me up?) I am probably not alone when I tell you I have a box full of dsl modems. It's such a tease when the light turns green and you have to wait for their "Special" equipment |
