 | Extend My What? DirectTV initially announced 16 Jan as the grace period, then 31 Jan. I start another provider 1 Feb thinking "only a fool" would wait until the last moment to find another provider. DirectTV, however, charged my credit card for $49.99 on 29 Jan 03 for February service. Here is my issue; I want to be a bit proactive so I contract with another service provider for DTV's drop dead date, then they extend it and bill me.
When can I expect a refund of this $49.99? And why can't I contact them using the phone number listed for this transaction or through DTV Customer Care. Customer care is giving the wrong website address, their email bounces back, and their phone goes to an taped message that gives no information.
I can see doing business this way if they are shutting down ALL operations, but don't they want SatTV subscribers? I'm not inspired with the company's future prospects.
I'm glad DSLReports had the right info! | | | I have placed a stop on that charge. They charged me one week after my service was disconnected, let them deal with the bank. | |
