Re: Netgear Wireless home network?? I'm also wondering how I came up with my DNS address. I'm sure I didn't ask Sprint. Would it be the same for everyone at say "ut.sprintbbd.net"?? I have had the same IP/Gateway/DNS address since the beginning (over two years now). I have always just plugged those numbers into my router and wa-la. Every machine I connect to my little LAN has instant internet. |

zukem join:2001-11-19 Phoenix, AZ | dns on modems each modem group can have their own dns config. typically each market has assigned dns servers and a domain name.
the parameters are loaded into the cable modem, your PC as a dhcp client takes whatever the modem give it.
