i live in Europe. The official price for the ZyXEL 314 is
400 US $ :-(
The Netgear is cheaper 200 US $.
If i buy a Netgear, can i flash it to support ZyXel add (snmp,ntp,...)
If not, can i buy a ZyXEL prestige 314 from buy.com ?

True, the netgear is a little cheaper, but you probably could not use the current $30 mail-in rebate anyway. Be aware that the power supply is not universal. A USA 110V supply will not work in europe).
Differences: Unlike the RT314, the P314 has a crossover switch.
Does anyone know the differences between packed items as currently shipped:
e.g. Cat5 cable, crossover cable, serial cable, printed manual?

You will need to have a BOOTBASE of 1.x to run Zyxel firmware on a Netgear RT314. If you get unlucky like me and get a bootbase of 2.x, your out of luck.  |
