ATTBI is officially dead (News Article 2-19-03). Did anyone get 'ANY' information yet regarding what's going on? I know I havent gotten 1 email, postal mail, or phone call.
So when can I get my 7th email account, file locker, and login to www.comcast.net ?
Yeah, this is a bit of a rant. But I dont like being kept in the dark. Especially when I go to the ATTBI bill pay site and get FWD to comcast without any warning.
Has anyone received anything yet? |

What do you mean "were dead"... That seems to me like a very open statement...
you have no connection, no email, what make you say you are "dead"... doesn't make sense to me. |

Well, see, attbi is NOT dead... the name has changed. But everything else is still attbi. All subscribers will be notifed when their emails will change. Depending on the area that they live in....
People in the "rocky mountain" regions are being bought out by another company, and won't have anything to do with attbi/comcast at all. This includes Co, wy, ut, and some others I don't remember right now....
Now, before you ask "how do you know this??" Think really hard, how else would i know this..... hmmm |

My LAST statement on this Each region will "transition" on it's own date.
YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED!!!'
Transition will be completed by April 2003.. per what was released in the news from Comcast.
I wish I had the URL ..
I do not.. take my word for it.

Yes, thanks. I thought I responded to this but the post wasnt here. Anyway, that's exactly what I mean. And also the tech support is... well, i dont know where. Last monday 2-17-03 I called about an outage. I wasnt sure if it was me or what but the signal was gone. So I called ATTBI Tech and the girl told me "... it's Comcast's problem now. You'll have to call them."
Great.
Anyway, I found out it was system maintenence because my neighbors were out too. It was back up it 90 minutes. |

Just noticed an interesting thing from that link.

Your monthly service price will not change as a result of this transition.
Just wanted to point out that moving from ATTBI to Comcast we should have stayed at the same price! So, why the increase then???

No, once you migrate to »www.comcast.net, you will no longer be able to access »www.attbi.com.
How are the going to do this? I can see them "turning" off the attbi webpage, but if they are doing it a region at a time, then people who are still on attbi would need access to that page right? So, once they "move you" to the comcast side of things, my guess would be that your DNS would change, and that www.attbi.com is not in the comcast dns?
So, the question then is this...if you are on comcast now, can you get to www.attbi.com? For what its worth, I can access both www.comcast.net and www.attbi.com.

I'm in Colorado and still Comcast. I think the Durango area is the only one being sold.
I now have to do with Comcast (used to be ATTBI but now it's Comcast..ATTBI is pretty much gone. or dead.)

I am still waiting to hear from ATTBI from the @Home merger. I never got anything there, I just watched the boards here and realized I was transitioned. |
