I got one of those calls here in Dayton

I work for a local ISP here in Dayton and got one of those calls earlier this week. Answered a few basic questions about SBC's service that were made to give favorable answers..."Have you ever called a number and had it not go through"?

Once she realized that she was talking to an ISP that resold SBC DSL and that we've had problems, the survey was cut short, I mean way short. To the point of me stating a problem and her saying "Thank you, that will be all"....click.

The nice thing about these municipal networks is that the local mom and pop ISP has a fair chance of getting access to a high speed network.

Not to mention 30 dollar high speed Internet and some of the lowest cable TV prices in the nation.
