 | [News] More info on transition period I see several forum posters saying they have not received any email/mail notice about the transition to Comcast. That's because your area is more than 30 days from the transition date. See- »online.comcast.net/help/connect.asp#f
About the time period that Comcast will still forward email from ATTBI "But he said Comcast will forward e-mails sent to the "attbi" addresses to the new Comcast addresses through the end of 2004."
"He" is Kirby Brooks, Vice President and General Manager of the newly formed Comcast Metro Richmond.
He also states "Brooks said a transition date hasn't been set." This is for the Richmond area only.
The whole article (by our own forum member McGregor McCance) can be read at »www.timesdispatch.com/business/M···ICD.html
Side note: The RT-D eventually moves all articles to a subscription service so this link will eventually die.
Another quote: "He said Comcast also hopes to make high-speed cable Internet service a more consistent, trouble-free service for local subscribers. The company recently upgraded the capacity of its data network after part of it became overloaded with too much traffic.
"We're not going to let that happen again," Brooks said."
