It can also put more stress on your processor, making the computer handle work that the NIC normally does.<br><br>USB 2 can support 12MB/s of data transfer. It would kind of defeat the point of a webcamp...<br><br>If you have the option, I strongly suggest NIC over USB, for the reasons I mentioned.<br><br>BTW:  If you are connected via DHCP and don't have a static address... You will ALWAYS get a different IP address when using different hardware.  NIC is different hardware from USB.]]></description>
