Me too! I'm waiting for my EL account to be set up on my second line. Going from "ADSL" 384/384 -> 1.5/384! I hope my EL modem get here before my Flashcom line dies.

Just got this is the email. Looks like people are not taking them up on the offer to move:

Dear Flashcom Customer:
We've extended the deadline for moving your service from Flashcom to another
ISP, using Covad's Safety Net program, to Monday, March 26. If you do not
move your line by March 26, Covad will move your line to another ISP, who
will contact you to sign up with them as your new provider, or will
permanently disconnect your DSL service.
Prior to March 26, please use the Covad Safety Net program located at
www.covad.com or call our Covad Safety Net hotline at 1-800-366-7221 to move
your DSL service. The following ISPs are designated receiving partners under
Covad's Safety Net Program:
DSL.net - www.dsl.net/rescuedsl or 866-340-2585
Speakeasy - www.speakeasy.net/switch or 800-556-5829, option 3, option 1
XO Communications - www.xo.com/xofferings/internet/dsl/tranfer.html or
866-502-9696
COVAD.net - www.covad.net/support/index.htm or 888-64-COVAD
Both Covad and Flashcom apologize for any inconvenience this situation has
caused to you, but please be assured that Covad Safety Net was designed to
ease your transition to a new ISP. We at Flashcom thank you for your
business over the years and we at Covad welcome you to one of our other
partners and look forward to continuing to provide you with broadband
services.
Thank you, Thank you,
John McDevitt Richard Rasmus

I still have my service. I am not transitioning because I am moving at the end of the month. Does anybody know if we will have to return the modem to Covad?

@home.com

I moved. told "flashcom" to just disconnect my line like they keep threatening.

I have Cable modem now.. and have > 180k/s Napster downloads..!!! alot better than DSL.
it flys! and $10 a month cheaper.
