TAKE NOTE, THE FEATURE IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY AND IS DELETING IMs YOU RECEIVED FROM OTHER USERS. IT ONLY KEEPS THE ONES YOU SENT YOURSELF.

Yah, just found that out.

This is your last post:

"Keep this" has the same URL as "Delete this"

Except one has /k/ (keep) and the other /d/ (delete)

Ah, the ones you SEND can be kept, but the ones that you receive get deleted? hmmm

I am saying, does it say those words somewhere such as in the IM area?

Well! Almost right. If you keep one received message it keeps them all!

I guess the only way to unkeep an IM is to delete it.

This is a funny evolution of a new feature.

Keep trying!

I just read this this morning...clicked on the message indicator and found my PM's were different colors and some were marked as 'kept' when I hadn't even touch them.

Is there a gremlin in my machine?

Maybe when I marked one of my received IM's as a "keep", it not only marked all my received messages as kept but also everyone's as well.

At least I know I can delete one without deleting all of them in one fell stroke!

It still doesn't work per my post above. Just tried it again with some freshly received IM's.

Some observations about the current status of this new feature:

1. If you decide to "keep" a received message, it will mark all (as in every) received messages (from all senders)"Kept".

2. Once a received message is marked "Kept", it automatically marks the sent message in the senders IM listing "Kept". That's why some people are noticing "Kept" messages in their list though they haven't taken any action.

3. Deleting a "Kept" message by either the sender or receiver does not have a reciprocal effect like #2.

The keep this seems to be working right now...but I'm still not clear as to what the 'delete all' option does now.

delete-all does as it did before, delete all from that person, kept or not.

OIC..so if one wants to save one PM from that person..they have to delete the others one at a time or let them 'fall off' so to speak by the site timeline?
