I actually have gone through this before with the Seti team.
So I didn't want to push things to fast.
It’s really important that we have most of the teams support before we start asking the harder questions, like you have already started.

My goal with this post was to see where we stand as a team and then start to ask those questions.
As a team we seem to be very much behind this.
As indicated by the poll.

Cindy was kind enough to make this a sticky for me on a request to have the rest of the team have there say.
My intentions were to give it the weekend and see where it was going to go.
I was going to do a follow up post on Monday and take if from there.
One way or another.

And from the look of the way it has gone, the post to make this happen will be in on Monday.
We will start with all the questions to make this project come to fruition. But there must be certain things that must be answered for this to happen.

Of course if we ever did pursue in making this project and giving it a go ahead we would all need to vote on a name for this. But for the moment I'll call it Team Discovery Hope Machine so we are all on the same page.
And also that it will be unique from the machine that we built over at Seti.

This poll will be a fairly simple one and will not deal with many issues of the project. But it will be just an idea to see how the rest of the team feels about doing something like this.
