Bundled discounts?

I'm kind of grabbing the back end of the topic here, but I certainly don't get any discount for having Comcast's Digital cable and cable internet service. When I asked their customer service drones about the possibility a couple of months ago I was informed that they "don't do anything like that". If this supposed discount for multiple services is a recent development I'd love to know when they plan to actually apply it to existing customers!

You certainly do. The combined price is $15 less than the individual prices.

The weird thing is that you don't have to subscribe to Digital or even Full Analog; basic-basic Analog qualifies, which means that it can be cheaper to subscribe to cable TV than not.

It is more of a case of semantics and marketing than anything else - the math works out the same. For some reason, some people might find it more palatable if Comcast advertised their standard price for their internet service as being $57.95 per month with a $15 discount if you are a Comcast CATV subscriber.

Going back to Cattrfly See Profile's post, additional types of bundled discounts are specific to local systems (available in some areas, not available in others - see the Promotions here for an example »mywebpages.comcast.net/comcast_m···ts-1.htm ). As for why these are not universal, one would have to ask Comcast.

That's always my beef. THAT CABLE PRICES AREN'T UNIVERSAL. If they were, and these PENALTIES were universal, it would be easier to regulate. I have always said that the majority of people would have LOWER CABLE RATES and better service if there were only 1 cable company nationwide. WOW customers are the exception. Who cares about them? They are the winners of life's lottery.

Maybe. I thought they tended to have network issues at times. Here, I can honestly say, things have been very reliable from @Home -> ATTBI -> Concast, er I mean COMCAST.
