I do run hosting off my PC and connection(384kbps) for pics and screenies. But since I am now moving in to bigger stuff I had to pay for my service. 12$ for reliable fast service it is really worth it. :)<br>I did learn a bit, so as long as it is something temp  and does not cost you more than it's worth then I suggest to be cool.<br><SMALL>--<br>Ohh Yes! Plus, when you have your server at home, it's much easier to fix any problems that could arise than if the server is hundreds of miles away. I've always wanted to run my own UT server but won't be able to until the day comes I can live in an area where I can get SDSL. <br><br>Sadly, people who run or want to run servers at home are usually looked upon almost as bad as people who trade child porn, thanks to the cable companies' PR conditioning that "people running servers are the sole cause of our network problems."<br><br>It would be nice if the technology would come along so that people could get T3 like connections in their homes for a reasonable price. Unfortunately that will never happen. Bandwidth prices will continue to be outrageously high.]]></description>

I did the exact same thing you are trying to do off of my comcast connection last year, and although I thought it would never happen, they found out somehow and cut off the service one day when I was at school. Get a DSL isp if you want to run a server. I have earthlink now and I run my website, www.henryhand.com, off of Apache, and my ftp site off of Serv-U, and both servers are allowed by earthlink's terms of service.<br><br>I ditched comcast entirely shortly after, and got DirecTV.<br><br><i>[text was edited by author 2003-04-07 00:59:21]</i><br>]]></description>

Set log level to no logging (0)<br>Make sure all boxes below are checked.<br>Head over to the Advanced Settings tab.<br>Click custom IP, enter aweb.dyndns.org, and click the DNS tab.<br>Click OK.<br>Make a folder somewhere on your hard drive for FTP use. For example, mine is D:\ftproot<br><br>Add a group (Admin > Add Group) and call it whatever you want, for example "Online"<br>Go to the Paths tab on the right.
