Re: Jeez

In the normal situations like this, the prices start off at a certain base price, and getting extra services makes the base price go down (even though you're paying more for extra services, but it USUALLY balances out). The way Comcast is doing it, they're starting off at a base price, and if you DON'T get another service, they'll charge you more. That's what the "rage" is about. For example: I'm paying $19.95/month for digital cable (get basic for free form apartment complex). Comcast comes along and tells me "If you don't get cable internet service, your cable TV rate is going to go up to $29.95. If you get cable internet service, you'll be able to get cable TV at $19.95. What a deal!". So, I would have to pay extra for a new service to keep the existing service I have at the same monthly cost that I had been already paying? This is not a "discount" offer.
