There have been some routing problems for Phoenix/Rhythms this week.
I could not reach dslreports for most of Tuesday, nor some other fairly obvious sites.
It appeared to me, based on traceroutes, that the problem was a router on the dbn net in the NY area.
I got through to Phoenix Tech support, and they repaired the problem within a matter of a few hours.
I won't be surprised to see the problem return, though.
I noticed momentary loss of contact with the mail server about 1/2 hour ago. (It's back now.)

Prepare for the worst, folks. According to the person I spoke to, Phoenix Tech Support is closing shop on Friday, 3/30. At that point, I have no idea who one would contact, since Megapath doesn't want us and Telocity doesn't yet have us.

Mine went down this evening at about 5:30 p.m. Telocity told me that phoenix is already starting to shut down their network. Unfortunately Rhythms won't have my circuit rebuilt until sometime tomorrow afternoon.

So it's finally happening... what will happen to the customers that have received NO word that there will be a switch to Telocity? Will it still work once the switch is done? I heard somewhere if I turn on DHCP, it would work.. btw I have the Copperrocket 201 SDSL modem.

What I had to do. Was call Telocity and get them to look a bit harder in their database. Once they started looking and I let them know that Phoenixdsl TS had already told me what the switchover date was. they found me. Already had the CC info and all. But now have to wait till tomorrow to call back, and hopefully Rhythms will have the circuit built, to get the new IP,gateway, dns, etc. info from them.
Don't know about the SDSL. I have a copper Rocket IDSL modem and will be using it. I did try changing to DHCP. But that didn't work. Still need to wait for Rhythms to build the circuit.

When I got home last night at about 6pm, my DSL was down. Telocity never contacted me about the switch. The only reason that I knew they purchased Phoenix is because I just happened to the go to Phoenix's site one day.

I tried calling Rhythms, but they were no help. They told me to call Telocity. I am currently on eternal hold with them....

I finally got through to Telocity. Apparently, I was scheduled for my switchover on the 22nd. (were they keeping it a secret??)

It appears that they may have just forgotten to send out my gateway. My line went down last night and the person that I spoke to said that they're re-configuring my circuit. I should be getting my gateway on Mon or Tues. Hopefully, I will and I'll be good to go.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
