ssoni join:2000-08-25 Hawthorne, NY | email = transition tonight//need help w/ settings My green light are now steady on my CSCO 675.
Does anyone else have a linksys BEFSR41 router? I have set it to obtain the IP address dynamically. "Obtain an IP Address Automatically"
What about the DNS hosts and the gateway? Anything else?
PS: I called telocity a few weeks ago, verified im in their database, and gave them my credit card. I got this email tonight. ========================================== Dear Telocity Subscriber:
Welcome to Telocity! We are very pleased to become your new Internet Service Provider.
Completing the transition to Telocity will be simple and easy. You will continue to use the modem you currently have in your home. You will just need to reconfigure your IP address and you'll be surfing in Telocity Time. We've attached step-by-step directions for you, so this should take only a matter of minutes.
You have a special type of DSL connection. As a result, you will not be able to use the propriety Telocity VelocityPort gateway. While this prevents you from ordering the value-added services customers can order for an additional monthly fee, you will be able to enjoy Telocity's always-on, ultra-fast Internet connection and the many other features we provide our customers.
Your Transition has been scheduled for:
Transition Date: 3/30/2001 0:00:00. Transition Time: 8pm-4am PST.
At some point during your transition time window you will notice your internet connection has stopped working. Once that happens follow the attached instructions and you will be back up and connected on the Telocity Network in no time.
You will also need the following information to access your Telocity email account. Your email can be accessed at »home.telocity.com/, click the Webmail link. If you wish to change your Telocity email address go to »home.telocity.com/ and click "My Account". In the Account Settings section you will need to add a secondary user account.
Login Name: xxxxxxxx Password: xxxxxx
We look forward to serving you. If you have any trouble with your transition please call 888-773-3349 Option # 3 for Technical Support.
