| another quality anon post! need help Back in November, I found out about DirecTVDSL's ending. At the same time I was moving out of the house, but friends who I was living with kept the phone number and the DSL after I moved out.
For the months of December and January I was not charged (I had an automatic billing set) for service.
So now (April 19th), I get a bill for $90 for those two months (which I would have cancelled if I was being chargedor asked for reimbursement from the people living there, since *I* wasn't even living there).
I had naturally accepted they were gracing those two periods for yanking people's service, but I guess I should have known better.
Anyway, anyone else getting scammed? [text was edited by moderator] |

 | reply to NickisGodcom How is it a "scam", you had the service which you didn't cancel. The fact that you moved out, and were no longer living there has nothing to do with it. See if your friends will pony up the money, if not pay it, after all, it was your account... -- Madness takes its toll...Please have exact change ready ! |

 | reply to NickisGodcom Well...if you're at a store and they offer you a free sample...or more accurately, ask you to try something without using the word free but implying that it is a gimme, then charge you when you go to leave...that just strikes me as a scam.
The fact is, they stopped charging my credit card. Why not continue billing it? I was getting ready to cancel the service ("another DSL service shutting down...bastards"), but they stopped charging me. Hello? |

Just because they didn't charge your credit card doesn't mean your not still responsible for the service provided.
