Thank Bush!

All it took was 1 super-rich oil billionaire to buy 1 election, and the fall of democracy and humanity had begun.

First: taking over other countries for their oil. Second: No more privacy (you whisper 'i despise bush' to a friend and the thought police come out from the bushes and take you away). Third: the USA's last president and first dictator for life: George W. Bush.

i guess we all need to get used to having no privacy. next we'll be forced to give food & shelter to Bush's special elite guard live in our homes whenever they want, for as long as they want.

Sounds like a revolution is in order... time to buy as many guns as possible.

pretty soon, only the rich will be allowed to buy guns to keep the masses of pissed off and continously f**ked over consumers(a.k.a the bottom 95%)out of their estates and off the mutli-million dollar yards (aka fields, capitalist plantations). I'll be back, im going to BIG 5

Just so we're clear on one thing:

It was that darling of the entertainment industry, Bill Clinton, that signed DMCA, not da Bushie....

It's about time someone sees it's not Bush but Clinton who started all this BULL$HIT. No matter how bad Bush is he didn't sign the bills, Clinton did.

Only due to the fact that it was proposed before Bush was in office. If it had been proposed today, Bush not only would sign it, he'd make sure that any suspected file traders would be indefinitely detained in Guantanamo Bay.

This has NOTHING to do with Bush...this stupid piece of legislation was passed during the Clinton administration, and the judge was probably appointed by Clinton as well (remember, Bush hasn't very successful in getting his judges approved by the Senate). So blaming him for this is stupid at best, and very very lazy.

Re: Thank Bush!

This has EVERYTHING to do with Bush.

Why isn't our current civil rights loving president screaming for the repeal of this abomination with the same vigor he pushed for passage of the freedom enhancing PATRIOT act?

Who signed it is water under the bridge. It was wrong then and it's wrong now, the difference being that now the chickens have come home to roost. And ex-president Clinton can't do anything about it. But Bush can - he just doesn't want to. This is because our current Administration doesn't give a damn about individual rights. So they don't give a damn about the DMCA.

Continuing to blame Clinton for the inaction of George Bush is WAY beyond stupid and lazy.

Its easier to refuse to sign something than to go about repealing a current law.

Allowing you to get a free ride as far as music goes is probably not too high on his priority list.

Re: Thank Bush!

Ah, perfect. It's not "easy" to do the right thing, so don't anything at all. And them blame the liberals for your own laziness and lack of moral character.

That's just sad.

Some of you people are really pathetic. The whole "War for Oil" argument is very weak. Try adding some facts to your argument.

He bought the election? still mad that people in Florida need help punching holes in a ballat? You want people that smart deciding the President? Oh, and name a President who wasn't already rich when they ran for president.

Here are some of my favorites...

"US Sanctions killed 500,000 Iraqi civilians." - First, they were UN sanctions. Second, how can one say this when Saddam is/was worth BILLIONS. They found a Billion in cash just laying around. Oil for food money was spent on DVDs, etc. Saddam was making millions off of oil he was illegally selling to Syria.

Fall of humanity? OK, so losing some civilians in a war is not better than sitting idly by while Saddam murdered hundreds of thousands? Did you happen to catch the quotes by some Iraqi's saying they would commit suicide if the US didn't come soon enough? How about the Human Shield sign changed to read "Go home Human Shields, you Wankers".

"War for Oil" - First of all, to suggest that any president would go to war knowing casualties were going to happen to get some cheap oil is absurd and shows how foolish your arguemnt is. If the war was about the Bush's getting oil, we would have taken it 12 years ago. Secondly, you might want to show some kind of proof that oil is being pumped into the US from Iraq. The US didn't get oil from Iraq.

As for the privacy paranoia... somebody must have seen "Enemy of the State" the other night.

Drilling in Alaska would ruin the Wildlife refuge right? WRONG. This refuge is 19 MILLION ACRES. They are talking about using 2,000 acres and state of the art equipment that would not harm the wildlife. I might also add that the Alaskan Senator supports the drilling. Keep spinning though.

Time to buy guns? Not much is left that would do any good anyway. Liberals banned them all. Afterall, people don't kill - guns do.

I could go on, but I'm done embarrasing you.
