Transitioned to Telocity

I have SDSL through Rhythms and live in Maryland.

IT was quite an ordeal and at several points during the transition process I was told that I would not be migrated, but a few weeks ago I found that I was in their database, they had my CC info and just needed an e-mail address to let me know when I would be transitioned.

Yesterday (4/2) I came home to find the Telocity gateway had arrived. I checked my computer and found that access had dropped out at 6:20 that morning.

I switched to DHCP to grab an IP and was back up and running (with a 10 min lease). Once I was sure I had a connection, I hooked up the gateway and in minutes, I was back on the net with a static IP (which was vastly different that the DHCP address that I got using the CopperRocket).

Unfortunately, my line speed as dropped from 208/208 to 140/40. I'll let things settle in for a bit and do another speed test before calling telocity (hey, I'm just happy to still have access).

I'm also interested to see what happens if I switch back to the CopperRocket with the new IP.

Arr: I see you were switched yesterday as well; did you lose any line speed?
