Personally, I say the people who want to fund these ridiculous commissions should voluntarily pay extra taxes and/or fees on their cable TV/Internet bills to cover the cost. Don't take funding away from real problems to deal with BS like this.
Just like only those people who have children should pay extra taxes for good schools and everything else parents cry about wanting free from the government. Not everyone has children, nor plans to breed any, so it would seem that there are other priorities entering into the community mix other than just those of people with kids. |

| In Montgomery County MD, a significant portion of the budget is for: Go Montgomery! Personally, as a telecommuter, I'll GLADLY funnel the taxes I pay AWAY from the roads and INTO communications infrastructure. Seems like a fair trade to me.  |
