Re: [wired] BEFSR41 - Firmware 1.45 Kills the Router! One of the lucky few? I have only seen 6 - 10 posts from users with this bad flash experience, and most are older v1 models. I believe they are the unlucky few, most users are not having problems or we would probably see more posts about this.

Meanwhile I hooked my unit up to a machine running Ethereal.
The short story after looking at what the box is doing is:
The WAN port is not talking, but the LAN side is sending out packets with the WAN side's MAC address (looking for a DHCP server)!
This firmware is mis-configuring the hardware when it cold boots.
Since you can't program the FLASH from the WAN side (normally) I'm stuck.

Hope they will make it right. Had this unit a while, and don't have a clue where the receipt is. Will they do something for me? |
