Re: BitTorrent problems w/ Linksys modem?

said by MrPenguin:
Hi all. Here's my problem: when I download files using the BitTorrent P2P app, my Linksys BEFCMU10v2 will "freeze" after about five minutes of transferring and need to be power cycled in order to reconnect to my cable ISP (Comcast). Has anyone else here experienced this problem, particularly using this specific modem? Thanks.
I download from BitTorrent all the time and I'm using the BEFCMU10v2 on Comcast. Are you using a router? I'm using the WRT54G and have Port Forwarding set up for BitTorrent, haven't had any crashes or freezes and I DL about 1 GB per day...

Yes, I'm behind a Linksys BEFSR41 running the latest stable firmware (1.39). This problem always crops about roughly five minutes into any BitTorrent transfer. May I ask which port or port ranges you're forwarding?
