| Front-End User Interface for Startup List OK, I am probably the only guy who wanted this, but I created it just to see if I could. Copy the .exe file into the same folder as StartupList.exe and run it.
This only makes putting the "switches" on easier than typing it into a Run box...

OK. Cool. Now what do I do with it? I have StartupList and have used it on occasion, but I am presuming that your little tool/.exe is far simpler than the StartupList .exe itself. For those others out there as uneducated as I, please give a little run down why this is easier to use than that of the .exe in the regular program.

| I assume that it works in conjunction with StartupList found here »www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/ that has command line parameters that R2 has made the graphical interface for so you do not need to use the command line to execute the options rather you use check boxes. Put both executables in a directory and make a short cut to StartupListUI for easy access and click the shortcut and choose your options and a list of startup items is magically displayed.
What the options do?

Command line options:
/verbose - to add additional info on each section
/complete - to include empty sections and unsuspicious data
/full - to include several rarely-important sections
/force9x - to include Win9x-only startups even if running on WinNT
/forcent - to include WinNT-only startups even if running on Win9x
/forceall - to include all Win9x and WinNT startups, regardless of platform
/history - to list version history only
My best guess anyways I am sure R2 will correct me if I am mistaken.
Who is going to make a installer?

Since I was doing a lot of testing on these applications, I had to use the Run box more than I wanted -- so I decided that StartupList needed a "front-end". Ergo, I wrote that while I was on my plane flight last weekend!
It is useful if you run StartupList relatively often AND you want to use one of the "command line switches". Otherwise you probably will have no use for it. Lurkers has the options listed above -- and if you hover the mouse over the options, essentially the same data appears as a ToolTip.
As I have alluded to before, I will gladly spend one hour now to save myself one minute later. This is likely one of those cases. However, it was a good excuse for me to learn more Visual Basic...

I used it last night and found it great. I use StartupList often just to keep track of myself!  Thanks, R2. Yes. I know that you will do just about anything to make something easier. You done good!
