Why this will fail

well i work for verizon and I know for a fact this is a blessing but at what cost? I serously doubt verizon is capable of having a issue free transistion to wifi. I do have a point to raise....isnt the point of having ATM and Frame Relay is for reliablility? Well then guess what, you may sure expect the same pleasures you alreayd expect from verizon but now wirelessly. Also security, we will the same existing user/pswd you have now without any other modificiation to you account but will this work on our NT and UNIX servers when the transistion is into play. I dont know yet but im sure to see a # of issues to increase in our VOLEast area (NY), and I will begin monitoring it and posting it here as it happens.

I think you will be charged from verizon and it will be a stupid priced fee even though its supposedly free "NOW". Watch your bills people you may get a MISC charge for using it and there will be alot of finger pointing.

I dont mean to scare you all but the thing you have to understand is that the Corporate heads make crap decisions and then from down the ladder its even made worse. Ive seen a new corp head everyday for the last month and a half here at our center and are the accomplishing anything....no.

While making this transition to Wifi I hope they will better understand the technology that is behind this , the way to help customers correctly, and a secure method of connection. I honestly dont think the current method we use will even get through a month but well have to see. Just remember one thing...it would suck if one of you were to be hacked through verizon by the guy sitting behind you at the coffee shop and have him complete access to your files etc. Just some words of thought...
