That's a valid point. However, what you have to appreciate is that ...

1) Comcast is regulated by the state government, the very entity which her husband heads. Do you trust the state government? To a certain amount I do, but not blindly. It is very fair to ask questions and in fact, it is our duty to do so.

2) Comcast frequently throws its weight at politicians in attempts to influence them. Comcast donates money extensively, Comcast provides air time for politicians, Comcast sponsors events that benefit the politicians (directly or indirectly). Comcast has a huge public relations arm whose job it is to influence politicians.

I went to google, entered "ehrlich wife comcast" and hit "I'm Feeling Lucky" and up popped an article describing how Ehrlich was "the guest of honor at a convention party thrown by the cable company Comcast" prior to his election.

As far as Comcast doing something unethical or illegal by incorporating in Delaware, that's nonsense. They (and most smart businesses) are taking advantage of the laws as they are written. This smells like more journalistic Chicken Little-ism than a legitimate issue.

For the past couple weeks every time I come here I see every single "Comcast sucks"/"Comcast had an outage so I shot my dog and therefore comcast killed my dog" thread voted up. Which I think is abuse of the feature as it seems from the FAQ that it is to be used sparingly for very important/very useful threads.

Now if you read the FAQ entry and still want to vote up a thread, vote away; then it's an issue between you and the site (and whatever mod that I assume has to dig thru the posts and decide what actually gets archived).

Just remember that the usefulness of this site depends a lot on it's users proper use of the tools given.

It has nothing to do with not liking what I am reading. It has to do with helping users and providing useful information that will benefit people here and who visit the site. I am sure when people are trying to find information here on Comcast, and they check the voted threads, they don't want to see countless "Screw Comcast" and "Comcrap Sucks" threads. They also don't want to see crap like this voted up. Sure, it is news, but not vote worthy. That is the key. They want to see information like the caps being raised, the price change information, incompatable hardware, and so on.

Check again. Most credit card companies and many financial institutions are registered Delaware corporations to avoid taxes.
