 | Horrible Service, Horrible Support To say that DSL.net is a miserable service is being too nice to them. After a fiasco of being promised service and not having it delivered for 4 months, service over a period of 1 year has been pretty shoddy. Our line will periodically go down for no apparent reason, and tech support will have no answers for us. In a period of 1 week I have spent nearly 8 hours talking to tech support or holding while they run line test after line test with no different results. I can now reconstruct the entire phone directory for the New Haven Office from first level tech support to upper management from the run around we have gotten. The last straw was having tech support tell me our firewall was bad, close our ticket and hang up, all while i was connected outside our firewall and still couldn't ping past their gateway. Every time there is a problem they first tell us its a telephone related problem and we have to wait 24 hours for a SNET service ticket, when that comes back negative they tell us we have to wait 24 hours for their people to contact us for a service call, when they can't figure it out we have to wait indefinitely for SNET and DSL.net to coordinate a time when they can come out together and figure out what the problem is. A service outage of more than 4 days is not uncommon from them. If they ever use the line "we'll call back in 10-15 minutes", make sure you have the extension of the person you are talking to because the odds are you will never hear from them again.
