Configurations specific to proxy-arp on the CMTS were adjusted, obtaining the new parameters can be obtained via a manual reboot of the modem(s) (customer resets own modem, configurations obtained immediately), or, in the near future during a c/m window (modems will be re-initialized by Adelphia). Hope this clears up any confusion.

i'll try this out with my friend as soon as he gets back.

i just thought it was strange hearing the proxy arp was enabled. i thought this was a local problem since macleech was talking about how i would need a tier 3 person to fix it. not somewhere in NY (animals). i guess i really don't know anything about how anything works here. unless of course everyone in here works for adelphia. that would explain a lot.

anyways, thanks everyone for your informative, helpful posts!

btw. how do you people know it was enabled? (not doubting anyone of course).
