I believe it is unique views. And it will come and go as all the servers get updated. |

OK..that makes sense..and it does appear to be a 'new feature' that members have requested for showing posts and views. But why is it unique? |

unique would mean, if you looked at that topic 20 times it would only count as 1 view. As opposed to counting as 20 views. |

Because if I look at the thread 3 times, it only counts as 1 unique visitor. |

Nice! It was in the Journals forum and for sale forum, now it's in all! Cool! |

Unique views would mean that it's different users viewing it. (i.e. not the same user looking at the thread on different occasions) |

I just noticed it as well. Now, how long until someone asks "can I turn it off?" ; |

Pretty cool! Wonder if it is here to stay? |

I guess that only the threads after the new feature has been implemented has the unique view count. Posts before that only have 1. |

I think there's going to be a contest saying "OMG, who can create a thread that has the most unique views!" |

Thanks for all of the replies...'uniqs' are more accurate than 'views'. Very cool Justin! |

Surely not! That would be so childish. |

I have to agree as well. Truthfully I found it distracting in the few forums that had it previously, and with the exception of 1 or 2 forums (I can see how someone keeping a journal might want to know how many unique views they've had for example), I can't really see how it's of much use. I suppose I'll get used to it, but I do think it looked a lot better with just the number of replies. |

Well...You're mostly correct. I bow to your judgment. |

Well I bet it does happen. But it happens in a forum where there is a lot of kids. But I can't mention what forum it is, since it's hush hush (And nothing is supposed to leave that forum) :-Þ |

It's a change that was suggested in March: » [request] Thread views for posterAnd again in May: » [request] Views |

After a whole 5 mins of seeing the new feature, I think I'd rather not see it on the Fav Forums page, and see it only on the forum's page. |

Well. I have to say..y'all make up your minds quickly. Is the size of the font the problem...maybe the same size (small) font and two different colors? |

i actually like this new feature |

Maybe a smaller and cleaner font might make it look more attractive DSmithlady. The more I see it the less I like it.
Who really cares how many times a post gets a view, unless you are posting for popularity in the first place? It probably is going to turn into a rehash of the thumbs up thing. |
