1500/1000 in their dreams

they claim 1500/1000 which really isn't the case the line speeds are capped at 200 kb/sec down 100 kb/sec up, so really they are just using smoke and mirrors as the testing on dsl reports is a waste of time. Also they only allow 5gb upload transfer and 10gb download transfers a month, certainly a rip off for the 39.95 a month, with scaled back speeds. If it was truly a 1500/1000 speed it may be worth the price.

Don't confuse bits with bytes. Wave claims 1500 Kbps down and 1000 Kbps up. That mean Kilobits per second. This translates to 187.5 KBps down and 125 KBps up. KBps is kilobytes per second. There are 8 bits to a byte, and therefore you must multiply by 8 when your downloads are being measured in bytes. This is the same for all providers.

I have been a Wave customer through Westman Communications Group for years, and have consistently seen substantially better transfers rates than any other high speed provider offering a comparably priced service.
