Re: DI-614+ Revision A vs. Revision B comparison

Very informative ! Just looking at The B version .. It kinda looks like a prototype though with the wire wraps/connections. Of course that is a layman's opinion. That is A looks cleaner.

You know also looking at the A version I can only see ONE antenna connection. Guess that shows the other antenna is for looks like I read somewhere here. !

I read most people want 2 antennas, the A looks to have only one working. Now the B version with one external antenna looks like it has one external and one internal (guess from picture)

I've posted earlier about my finding out that only 1 antenna on the Rev. A 614+ seems to be working, but nobody suggested to me that this is true for all Rev. A units. I contacted Dlink support about this but they didn't say that only 1 antenna is supposed to work.

Here's a pic of my Rev. A 614+ and it looks like there're two antenna connections, although my left antenna doesn't appear to be working.

The power jack isn't an antenna connector. Remember, the Rev. A pic I posted is of the removed PCB, not of the router with just the casing removed.

As far as I know, the internal antenna in Rev. B isn't doing much either. Maybe for both revisions, the firmware is set to only use the primary antenna (the one furthest from the power plug).

The 2 external antenna connectors in Rev. A seems like the better setup...if the firmware was set to use diversity antenna, which it doesn't appear to be.
