Re: Good luck by 2005 Say what you want, you should check the map to see exactly what is considered a "Community" by the federal government. There's not that many up in the north. Every "Community" in the Yukon has ADSL access right now. Similar plans are underway for the NWT. Don't quite know about Nunivut though, a single strand of fiber would be enough for the entire territory but getting it down in the ocean would be tough up there.
Their telephones are all satellite-based, no reason to assume their internet wouldn't be either - as in, a DSLAM at their local telco switching office hooked up to a satellite net link to the rest of the country. How is that not considered broadband?
