What's that sound, everbody look what's going down

I for one REFUSE to accept the caps as they now exist for some RR users. If they put the caps in the 30gb down/10gb up range I would begrudgingly accept that. Anything less and I will be finding alternatives. I do not file trade, but I do beta test for a couple of well known major software makers and I work on many open source projects. Not to mention the numerous Linux distros I keep up with and the countless freeware programs from alt.comp.freeware that I experiment with. And that is not counting normal gaming, email and surfing that my entire household does. I refuse to use my broadband connection like it was dial up. If forced to, I will find an alternative or I will go back to dial up. If enough people do the same these caps will become more consumer friendly. If the masses act like sheep it will only get worse.

Last time I checked, broadband was something that was to help expand the 'net. How would capping someone ability to download on a broadband network where speed and lots of bandwidth are available. I see a cap go if there are limitations of the network (the FAP that Direcway sat. has) but that's the only time it seems reasonable.

Exactly what I like to hear... why? We offer 56K!

The greedy High-Speed offerers will probable end of pooching their own sweet cash cows!

We've already got a few High-Speeders back to reliable (alas slower) Internet Service with out the "gotchas."

After all... who wants to deal with "ah ha! GOTCH'A!"

peace

(Note: I do have High-Speed and would hate to see it go away, but I'll be danged if I'm eventually going to be capped, slapped with high fees, and rapped to about HOW and WHEN and FOR HOW LONG I'll surf the dang net!)
