Hmmmm

Makes me wish I had went to business school and became an executive. Could have made millions.

Kind of makes you wonder what they are teaching at business school these days doesnt it?

No, it makes me wonder what ever happened to doing honest business.

Which sucks for me and you, but is better for them..

No such thing as honesty & ethics where business is concerned. That fell by the wayside 30 yrs ago with common courtesy.

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head. No ethics what-so-ever.. Are the following some of the class choices for today's students??

LC102 - Lying and Cheating, but sincerely, to get your way..

CA111 - Creative Accounting, make up your own rules.. Need those consecutive UP quarters to please the shareholders. But why WORK for it when you can fudge a little.. Sit back, relax.. Go for another Golf outing at the expense of a contractor who wants some business..

BM666 - Board Management. Learn the art of assigning board members who suit your needs solely.

Oh, I almost forgot..

GP999 - Golden Parachutes, make sure to cover your ass in case you are found out to be the buffoon you truly are. Jump with your Golden Parachute into retirement.

Yeah but its not good if you make the millions then get sued for what you made and then some because you weren't totally honest in gaining them

Name one CEO who got caught besides Martha Stewart whose ill gotten gains were mere chump change compared to white collar criminals like Ken Lay who knowingly bilked both the company and the employees that he was supposed to have been looking out for.

Well then part of that course should be 'not getting caught'. I have a feeling though that more and more of them will get caught now-the days of getting away with this are going away. Well at least for now because of the economy-if the economy had never gotten bad, we probably never would have known about it.....

What, exactly makes you say that. Where have you seen the WH do anything about corporate scandals in anything but name only lip service.

The shrub administration talks a good talk about prosecuting white collar criminals but so far, they have not taken any meaningful steps in that direction, which is precisely one of the main reasons why investors are skittish.

Unless you're counting standing in front of a sign that reads "corporate responsibility" for a staged press conference with scripted Q & A, the do-nothing WH is just blowing smoke. I'll believe "something" is being done to rectify corporate scandals and the guilty parties (like Ken Lay, et. al.) are being punished when I see significant, meaningful action being taken. Until then, all else is a bullsh1t smoke & mirrors ploy by the WH to make gullible people think that guilty parties are being punished.
