biv : I was a PSN customer and bought a Xpeed SDSL router from them in July, 2000. PSN went belly-up and I headed over to IBS Networks. IBS never sent me a router and instead allowed my to use my Xpeed SDSL router. In short, I never received any equipment from IBS and therefore have absolutely nothing to send back (not that I would have).

It's a pretty blue box with bright yellow lights. Hey, the link light remains on and it still flickers with packet traffic from time to time. I'll leave it plugged in as a reminder of better days.

mallomar : I own my bridge, too. I signed up in June 2000, and part of the deal was the bridge for the discounted cost of $49.

I saved a print-out of the web page with the details of the contract I signed up for, and also have a copy of the contract. Both confirm that the bridge is mine.

Not that it does me any good, since I now have cable modem. But I'm certainly not sending it back to IBS.

bjames : Contract shows I paid for service, install and required hardware. It's all itemized. So that letter with the release form will sit ignored in my pile of IBS paperwork.

anon : I'm not certain but I'm sure I own my IBS bridge. I signed my service contract back in May of 2000 and I remember paying $450 to get started.. 250 was refunded for the Northpoint installation, $49 for the first months service and $150 was for the hardware (the xspeed bridge)... plus or minus a few pennies..

I need to go through some boxes of bill's 'n stuff to find my contract but I'm pretty sure I own that bridge and I'll offer it up on ebay before I send it back to those lunatics (who haven't contacted me every since installation last year)
--
...There is no spoon...
