Re: Which Program takes Screenshots of your desktop?

Here is another free one, doesn't require an install or any dll's or other stuff. I like it. MWSnap

I agree with Zupe. Is it really necessary to have a program that takes screenshots of your desktop if MS Paint will work fine?

Well, with Screen Shot (and I assume others) you can capture the entire screen, only the active window, active window minus the title and menu bars, you can select a region, and you can capture timed shots. You then have options to Save, Edit, Print or E-Mail the results.
If you do a lot of screen prints, this can be handy.

Yes, maybe if you take loads of screenshots every day, one of the above-mentioned programs can be handy and quite convenient.

Really nice screen capture software. Not a freebie though...

Re: Which Program takes Screenshots of your desktop?

I've used GrabIt Pro since Windows 95. It' not free but is almost an image editor in it's own right. However, for no more screenshots than I take anymore, I just use Print Screen and copy it to Photoshop; MS Paint would work too.

lots more suggestions here as well.

i agree with those who have said that if it is only for occasional use and you don't want\need a third party program MSPaint will do fine.
