I *guess* they figure their TELEVISION customers are a more significant part of their revenue stream than their http customers... MAY IT EVER BE THUS...

Um...yes. FOX. Fox is the #1 news network in the U.S., hands down. CNN is hurting when it comes to ratings, as is MSNBC.
A Wall Street Journal poll about what television or cable network people watched during the second Gulf War showed 51% watched Fox (#1) and 17% watched CNN (a DISTANT second). The three national networks didn't get but only a few percentage points.
I used to work at ESPN. The network is based in Bristol, CT, but, back in the day, ESPN.com was based out of Washington state. So perhaps power did play a role as to why Fox didn't update their web page very fast. Who knows where foxnews.com is based. Anyone? Buehler? |
