Belvedere Tiburon, CA | Stone tablets to come????? Any truth to the rumor that the Minnesota PUC will soon be erecting a 5,000 pound stone tablet in its lobby that will contain the 10 rules of providing 9-1-1 in the RBOC model?
I haven't gotten all of the rules yet, but here are some:
1. I am the RBOC your voice provider, and you shall have no other voice provider than me.
2. Thou shalt not speak ill of the RBOC.
3. Remember that your copper pair is special, and use it for all your communications needs, no matter how inconvenient.

| I have an idea, lets get rid of all the telcos and just have Vonage instead.
With all the money we will save on communications services, we can afford that huge tax increase needed to offset all the local taxes the telco's, their employees and their customers pay to YOUR community..
Oh maybe Vonage will build in your community, hire your neighbors who will spend money keeping your stores open, your little leagers coached, and of course buy their breakfast at the local diner you happen to dine in too |

Belvedere Tiburon, CA | No, you're just a union Bell employee--who fears competition from new directions. The Bell Unions always side with the Bell Companies on these issues, because the money has to get into the Bell pot before the arguments over how to divide it between shareholders, managers, and union employees matter. On things other than union/management issues, you should be a Bell shill. It's in your economic interest.

Cant say for VZ, but at BLS, the union techs arent learning or doing the VoIP stuff anyway. If you buy a call manager, BLS management will put that sucker in. Big reason why I left. |
