circuit is up, now whats the hold up?!

What circuit? Is this an SBC ISP or some other? One last step is building you into the local network routers, and getting the ATM tunnel to your ISP set up and running, which means wait until your due date. Sync is important but it's just one part of the equation.

who sets up the tunneling?

The PVC tunnel to your ISP is done by ASI, but its not usually done until close to the due date of the order. Right now you have a connection to the CO or RT and that's it.

When is your due date, anyway?

my due date is next thursday, and i ordered DSL 2 weeks ago today. Anyways if i contact ASI will they be willing to do things sooner than the set due date? I had a talk with a SBC tech that was outside near my house today and he told me to contact ASI and bug them . would this work?

A week from now? Call your ISP and have them try to speed it up. End users (read: not ASI's customer) don't have much clout with this sort of thing. Your ISP does.

I can be patient, but I've been waiting for DSL for over 5 years.
