The system is going down for system halt NOW !!

Yes, the machine first purchased to run the domain I had registered in 1999, is finally getting turned off, and boxed away. Zero hardware (motherboard, disk, cpu or ethernet) failures in 4 years of heavy, but increasingly non "front line" use. A two 400mhz processor Dell poweredge.

Have plans for it?

I have space in my museum..
In fact, it would be the biggest, newest box in my museum.

It doesn't have to go in a box -- Team Discovery would put it to good use in Project Hope!

yes, I have a couple of newer AMD servers I'd happily hit with a sledgehammer, but it somehow seems wrong to just terminate the ones that followed instructions without error. Even from here I can feel its motherboard cooling down, the cruel cold seeping into the chassis.

It was a brave little server, oh well.

Blue face seems appropriate
