North Babylon, NY | But... 1) I cannot use custom sounds or models with HL or my HL-based mods UNLESS I unpack my custom pak files to subdirectories in my games' steam folders, which I find to be time consuming and waste of space.
2) Steam breaks several mods (Sven Co-op, Natural Selection, etc) which crash when you try loading them via Steam. I still play Sven Co-op through traditional HL without Steam (1.1.1.0 version, which is compatible with SC)
Steam is a good idea, but it causes more problems then good among the majority using it.
