| Are we suposed to trust Palestinian software?? Sorry, but I have a problem using software made in countries that are hostile to the United States, or are involved in some kind of religious/political conflict with us.
Here we have a Palestinian software that puts trojans in US computers. Now the Palestinians are eternally at war with Israel, which seems to be in bed with Washington. If this is not Yasser Arafat's last attempt to attack the United States, I don't know what is.

Why is it so hard to think that some of them might have tried to strike at American computers? Are you suggesting that people in other countries boycott US vendors and services when their countries are involved in some kind of relgious or political conflict with the USA?
The USA is a big powerful country and it is or has been in some kind of conflict with just about every country in the world, usually involving broken trade treaties, but sometimes involving political interference in domestic elections, giving weapons to "rebel" groups (aka terrorists). I'm sure a political scientist or historian could give a longer more detailed list.
And talk about spyware or defective software.
Home of Microsoft, Gator, etc., etc.
Let us hope, for the sake of the US software and hardware industry, that people in other countries are not so quick to blame the whole country for the actions of a few companies.

I wouldn't call all these people idiots... but you are right. The technological level of Palestine is not very high and I don't think this program came from Palestine. Israel on the other hand is a highly developed country especially in the hardware/software area. I wouldn't be surprised if the origin of the program is Israel.... maybe a mossad operative could confirm this??

Think about it people. If you were a Palestinian and wanted really wanted to hurt America by planting some software to mess with us do you really think they would announce themselves as being Palestinian? This is way to convenient to really be anything truly destrictive. Also why would they release a fix when they could have just denied anything was wrong in hopes of snagging a few other saps?
Another thing to to consider. Even if these programmers did hate the U.S. don't you think making software that keeps a greedy capitalist industry like what the RIAA represents from making money fall into a better incentive? The Palestinians always talk about how the people should be empowered. Well maybe they are taking it out on the companies while at the same time empowering the Americans? Makes sense considering they have been beaten down by the Man in their own way (Israel).
Just keeping an open minds about this. You never really know what's going on behind the scenes.
