What surprises me is that Philadelphia and the NJ suburbs of Philadelphia didn't get it first. Usually the pattern with Comcast rollouts is Philadelphia and its NJ & PA suburbs followed by the NJ suburbs of New York. At first I thought they were targeting less populated areas, but with places like Pittsburgh getting it, that kills that theory.
Anyone want to speculate on Comcast's reasoning behind choosing which areas get it first? To me it looks like ex-ATTBI areas (for the most part) are getting it first. -- Tell Comcast to keep or get TechTV: »home.comcast.net/~mbernste/ttv.html
im in ex-attbi ex-mediaone area and we haven't gotten the upgrade yet. Im guessing they may be upgrading the areas based one how much utilization each network see's.
But i feel like a ping pong ball from all the swap overs and im thinking this may help us out some. This area doesn't have traffic shaping yet either so i doubt the upgrades will come here soon.
