jm : There is no Mail client for SBC Y, just a "link" that takes you directly to mail.yahoo.com to view email. For the spam problem, make sure your spam block is on, and if your using a mail client, make sure the download bulk mail folder is not selected. IF you select the SBC Y apps in the add/remove, you will be presented with options that you can the uninstall individual apps.

prosecutor : My recollection is that there isn't really even a mail client, just a little web app to get the mail. I use I.E. 6 and Outlook and NONE of the SBC software. Their browser used to be a tricked up version of IE 5. If you use Win XP, another PPPoE client, or a router, you don't need ANY SBC software to use SBC Yahoo DSL.

qdemn7 : I REALLY don't like the new Upgrade. I'm receiving lots more Spam, (about 3x) instead of less, and I don't like the fact that the whole thing is a package. Previously I uninstalled everything except the mail client. Now there's only SBC Yahoo Applications and SBC Yahoo DSL Activation listed in Add / Remove programs.

Question: If I uninstall all the SBC Yahoo Apps, can I just reinstall JUST the mail client, without causing any problems for my accounts? I really don't need the pop-up / anti-virus / parental controls, all I want to be able to have is multiple email addresses.
