 | Britsys Cable Buster Plan (too good to be true?) I've been using Verizon DSL for some time now. The advertised speeds are 768/128, however I only get 400/120 usually.
I stumbled across the Britsys Cable Buster plan.. and it sounds too good to be true. For 45 dollars a month, you get 1500/768 speeds, compared to the 40 bucks I'm paying now.
Cox Cable offers 3000/192 speeds, but the only reason they can offer anything like that is due to the download/upload caps they put on their users.
So I was wondering, does Britsys have any hidden fees? Download/Upload caps? Anything along those lines? I thought that I would ask the Britsys users first before giving them a call.
Thanks in advance. =) |

 | reply to Ex Cal with a lot of their plans britsys actually offers a guarantee that youll receive 70 or 80% of the rated max, i have the 1.5/768 deal, and the speed tests come in at like 1.2/630.. |

6% tax - same rate everywhere (DigiZip charges local rates - mostly less, but one guy is paying 14%, Cyberonic covers taxes in its rates, not sure what DSLExtreme does)
They only guarantee 50% of the sync speed on the Cable Buster plans, and if you sign up for 1500/768 you have to accept a min sync of 768/384 - so they only guarantee 384/192 thru put.
Cable Buster is a 18 month committment. |

Took forever to get it set up (with no DSL at all) but it's worth it! |

Sweet - those look like nice speeds.
BTW in another post they said over 99% of CB plans are getting better than 70% thruput so the above worst case scenario sounds rare. |
