Re: FTP and LinkSys Routers - How Much Interest?

I agree completely. We have a strong need for better FTP handling, including non-standard ports on both client and server sides. I think that FTP use is more common than some people think, and there are certainly people that have shown reluctance to purchase Linksys routers due to the current FTP limitations. Adding better FTP functionality in the firmware will only be good for Linksys and its customers.

Lemme add my .02 I have been running a 467gig FTP for about a year actually I add 80-100 gigs every few months I also have 3 servers including the FTP SERVER. This is all at my home I have more at work. I get about 50-80k upload only and 250-271 down through my crappy dsl connection. I am upgrading to the 3mbit/3mbit this summer though. Anyways lemme make it clear I switched from G6 FTP to Raiden FTPD which is like GLFTPD only for win32 and planned to run it on port32000 guess what no go there. The ftpd was supposed to be a big upgrade from what I had so at the moment I just keep using G6. Sure I can change the port to 21 in the FTPD but I figure to actaully run the ftpd when i get the upgrade G6 takes less maintenance FTPD you have to watch or look at every now and then.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FIX THE BETA FIRMWARE MAKE IT LOVE HSOTING FTP SITE AND WEBSERVERS!!!!!!

ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME!!!!!
