BellSouth's Louisiana President William Oliver warning at the time that BellSouth would "halt investment in its high-speed Internet network if the ruling is not changed." One good thing about this "policy" that the ILECs have is I get MCI, AT&T, and others off the phone much quicker when they want to sell me their local phone service.
