Give it another 18 months, then maybe a mainstream product can be sucessfully implemented, untill better standards are achieved I'll stick to my Mobile.
If this VOIP thing is really taking off, how far are we from a mobile furnished with only IP broadband services??? Legacy operators may have to stop milking the voice cow and get more serious on becoming WISPs and switch to beer Sounds déjà vu on the wired voice service going DSL and leaving the subs with real options, if I am not dreaming. Any "all IP" mobile Vendor announcement on this yet on 1X, for instance? I can see the beer logo on the mobile now along with the bottle opener feature and beer commercial ring tones.
