ok I think, an answer like this above, was not what you want to receive so as an small advice which could temp work to lower freeze and reboots with emule do:
- disable min. all the first (on top) SPI function of the firewall or better (but then you are without firewall protection) disable the firewall at all. You still have the NAT-Firewall but not intrusion protection from default firewall rulesets which produce some stress and logging as the firewall believes a lot of the connection-requests are attacks.
- use static-ip´s in your LAN for you client-pc

Never know until you try, right?

I forgot about setting static IP's on the LAN. I have done that also. I cound, however, that with the firewall off, my router was resetting itslelf at least once a day. Static IP's and MAC filtering is what made the router stable.
